Portfolio Reflection Letter

When putting together my writing portfolio, I realized that my work closely related to what I am passionate about and how that connects to my day-to-day life. Although my fashion blog is built on a basis of fun-filled articles about Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle, I wanted to also be able to showcase my newly explored style of writing and be able to use my blog as an overall portfolio of all of my writing that I am able to share with educators and employers in the future. Although this kind of writing is different from what my audience may normally read from me, I hope they are still able to enjoy the projects I’ve created and get the chance to learn a little more about my life as well as some of the research I have conducted.

I wanted to include photos that spoke closely to what each project portrayed individually while also matching the aesthetics that have evolved on my blog site. I made slight revisions to each project based on what would work best for my website but each essay stayed majority true to its original final draft form as I am very proud of the work I’ve conducted in the English Composition Spring Semester of 2023.

I am particularly proud of “Project 3: Subculture of Voguing, More Than Just a Trend” and feel it exemplifies my best work this semester. As stated in the project itself, I have a lot of connections to this specific project that made it particularly important to conduct research and represent the subculture with the utmost respect and as much information as I could. I enjoyed researching this topic and was thrilled to finally be able to research a topic that truly interested me for an educational paper. I hope anyone who chooses to read this project gets to learn something new and have a new perspective on the group as well as the style of dance they have created.
