As most of you may know I live in the Triad area of North Carolina and I am always down for a fun photo shoot. When living in smaller cities, you have to get creative with outfits, locations, and lighting to get some cool photos for your Instagram feed. Sometimes it can be difficult to do so I am here to help, these are some of the most popular photoshoot locations in Winston Salem NC!
- Reynolda Gardens: Reynolda Gardens is off of Reynolda Road and entry is free! Enjoy the colorful garden and greenhouses as well as some cool architectural pieces with your friends and capture some beautiful photos! The area also includes the Reynolda House and many small restaurants such as May Way Dumplings and Penny Path Crepe shop that you must try!
2. Cherry Marshall Parking Garage (Embassy): The Cherry Marshall parking garage is by far the most popular photoshoot location in the downtown Winston Salem area. The top-level allows for beautiful sunset lighting and industrial backgrounds and mid-levels can make for a really cool night-time picture location. If you plan on parking in the garage you do have to pay but you can also look for free parking options in the city and walk into the parking garage free of charge!

3. Winston Salem Arts District: The Winston Salem Arts District (better known as the “Art Park”) is around Liberty Street and Trade street which includes many Murals, Architectural art, restaurants, and shops. This makes a perfect spot to hang out and take photos with friends because you have many different backdrop options!

4. Hanes Park: Hanes Park is located off of Hawthorne road and includes soccer fields, tennis courts, and playgrounds. You have many locations around the park to choose from and is at a prime location for “golden hour photos” at sunset!
5. Cugino Forno in the Innovation Quarter: Cugino Forno is a Pizza shop in the Innovation Quarter of Downtown Winston Salem that has a really cool outdoor seating area. It has many distressed concrete pillars that give the area an old industrial look perfect for photos! The innovation quarter also has plenty of other spots for photography including Bailey Park, The bridges behind Wake Forest and Krankies, as well as a super cute walk-up ice cream shop the Lil’ Dipper!
6. Tanglewood Park and Jack Warren Park in the Lewisville/Clemmons area: Lewisville and Clemmons are smaller suburbs about 10 minutes outside of Winston Salem that have some beautiful outdoor spaces and parks. My personal favorites that I have gone to many times with friends are Tanglewood Park and Jack Warren Park!
