As a recent graduate, I’ve been thinking about how to combine the advertising and marketing skills I developed at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) with the journalism roots I grew at Elon University. My goal? To align my background with my love for the rapidly evolving influencer and podcast landscape.
I’ve been a longtime supporter of Tana Mongeau and have loved watching her evolution as both a creator and an entrepreneur. With her new solo podcast, Brand Safe, she has stepped into a powerful new era—attracting a massive Gen Z audience through raw, unfiltered conversations about sobriety, relationships, mental health, and wellness.
Driven by my passion for creative direction and editorial writing, I wanted to see how I could add value to what she’s building right now.
I spent today designing and writing a spec newsletter mockup for the Brand Safe community.
My vision:
1. For the Audience: Build an “Inner Circle” community that connects with listeners on a deeper level, making them feel like a personal part of the Brand Safe journey.
2. For the Brand: Open up premium, ad-ready digital real estate for core sponsors like SeatGeek and Ro to reach consumers beyond traditional audio and video formats.
I curated this layout and copy to match the aesthetic, visual direction, and tone that Brand Safe has been establishing over the past month.
